Bright start for Hemel campaign as Shadow Education Secretary attends official launch

Labour supporters greet candidate David Taylor and Shadow Education Secretary, Bridget Phillipson MP

Local supporters were out in force on Saturday 8th June 2024 to celebrate the official launch of David Taylor’s General Election campaign.

Arriving at St Mary’s Church on the High Street with Shadow Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson MP, David was greeted by activists of all ages before outlining his mission for Hemel Hempstead:

-          tackling the cost of living crisis

-          improving access to health services

-          building homes and protecting the environment

-          cutting crime and anti-social behaviour

-          providing better opportunity for local people

Bridget Phillipson MP, who was visiting Hemel to show her support, reiterated Labour’s education commitments, including investing in skills and providing breakfast clubs in every primary school.
